Bradley D. Ahlgren, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with more than 25 years of experience. Following his graduation from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Ahlgren completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He then completed his fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of California San Diego Medical Center under Dr. Steven Garfin. I had a spine fusion surgery in August of 2019 by Dr. Ahlgren at Beaumont hospital. He spends enough time listening to the complaint and gives you several preparation steps before the surgery. The surgery was successful 100%. After the surgery, I was seen by his staff on regular basis to monitor the recovery status and made recommendations if necessary. Dr. Ahlgren is an excellent surgeon and his staff (PA's and nurses) are doing a good job in helping and answering questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Ahlgren.

I had a multi-level cervical fusion in November of 2018. My outcome is better than expected. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Ahlgren. He's amazing!

I have had the privilege of being a patient of Dr. Ahlgrens. He spends as much time with you as you need to understand what is going on. I have been to several orthopedic surgeons and he has been the best by far. I highly recommend him. I wont go anywhere else.

Dr. Algehn is by far a top notch orthopedic surgeon. From initial consultation to post surgery he performs his job flawlessly. He truly cares about each individuals needs & type of treatment needed. He performed 2 surgeries on me that allowed me to return to my extremely laborious career. If surgery is necessary to correct a orthopedic injury Dr. Algren is one of the best if not the best surgeon in Michigan. My wife is currently schuled to see him due to injuries & I'm am completely comfortable with Dr. Algren treating her needs if necessary.

My husband had a 5 level Lami last fall and did not need any hardware. He was lucky. The doctor did an excellent job and my husband followed all his orders that were given and he did really well. We are working on his weight control because he is a big heavy man and he needs to walk more, but his quality of life has been greatly improved and we are grateful for the skilled hands of Dr. Ahlgren. I am a RN and have worked in the PACU many years so I know what should be done for my husband. THANKS!

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Ahlgren. The surgery he performed on my lower back has already (3 months after surgery) made the quality of my life better. For the first time in over a year I can bend to pick something up and I can walk without severe pain. My only regret is not having the surgery sooner. I give Dr. Ahlgren the highest possible recommendation.

Dr. Ahlgren helped me during one of the most difficult times in my life. Preformed surgery on my cervical part of spine. Dr. Ahlgren goes the extra mile to make sure his patients are well taken care of. His knowledge in orthopedics is top shelf. Dr Ahlgren staff are kind and well informed of office policies. Dr. Ahlgren operated on my C-2/C-3 vertebrate with tremendous success. He installed a titanium plate through the front of the neck to fuse the vertebrate. Can not see any scar. Originally I went to see him in an attempt to correct a lumbar surgery done by another surgeon. After viewing my x-rays and MRI - he told me that because of all the 'scar' tissue from the surgery - there was no way he would attempt a fix. He is a great surgeon, gave me the 'honest' opinion of success or failure and is a family guy like the rest of us civilians.

Dr. Ahlgren has an EXCELLENT bedside manner, is willing to give his patients extended time to thoroughly explain what needs to be done, what to expect, and answers any questions I may have had. I have never felt like he was rushing through the process of explaining procedures with me and that's something I really appreciate. I find that he is genuinely interested in his patients.
