Dr. Robert Edward “Ted” Kennon earned his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech University and his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine (1999), both in Atlanta. He then completed a general surgery internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a residency in orthopaedic surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation of the Yale University School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut (2004). Dr. Kennon continued his training with a prestigious fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction with the Keggi Orthopaedic Foundation in 2005.

Can not imagine a better surgeon, replacement team (St. Francis Hospital) or recovery. Walked out at 2:30 and just kept going with a new left hip.

I have never received such wonderful care from a surgeon. Dr. Kennon goes well beyond what any other surgeon has done for me. He has performed both of my hip replacements and has maneuvered my care during a difficult pre-operative complication. He is not only an unbelievably skilled surgeon but he is also one of the nicest guys I've ever met. His team is responsive and genuine. I have been a Nurse for 30 years and have dealt with many doctors both professionally and personally. Dr. Kennon not only offers his patients the benefits of an incredible knowledge and skill set but he also has a warm bedside manner. It's hard to find this amazing combination these days.

Dr Kennon came highly recommended to me. I had my left hip replaced in 2007 at Waterbury hospital by Dr Kennon and recently my right hip in 2022 at light house surgery center in Hartford by Dr Kennon. My wife had her right hip replaced in 2019 at St Francis hospital by Dr Kennon. We would highly recommend Dr Kennon, or we would not keep coming back, we have total trust in him, Dr Kennon is very easy to talk to, he answers all your questions and there is no pressure.

Not only is he an unbelievably skilled surgeon but he is also one of the nicest guys I've ever met. The team he has surrounded himself with are wonderful, responsive and genuine . I would be remiss if I did not mention his surgical Coordinator, Yolanda who has been so understanding and compassionate to me. I feel so very blessed and lucky I have Dr. Kennon as my Surgeon and highly recommend him to anyone needing the services of the best Orthopedic Doctor I have ever met. I must add I have been a Nurse for 30 years and have dealt with many doctors both professionally and personally.

Had bi lateral knee replacement, and 3 1/2 months later am 80 to 85 % . Can’t believe the over all care and treatment I received from my first visit to leaving hospital. Very one I had contact with was A+++. Dr. Kennon is the best.

Dr Kennon is a great doctor. I had a hip replacement and couldn't be happier. At my 1st appointment he took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. He is kind, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Dr Kennon's whole staff from the front desk to xray and PA's are all good. I never wait at appointments. I highly recommend this whole practice.
